Material Calculation for PCC Concrete

Here materials indicate coarse and fine aggregate along with binding material plus water.

Material is equal to material ratio/ratio summation x dry volume

Assume concrete ratio is 1:2:4

Where 1 signifies the ratio of cement, 2 signify the ratio of sand (fine aggregate) and 4 for coarse aggregate (crushed stone).

Dry volume = wet volume x 1.54

Determine crushed stone, cement and sand in PCC work. Concrete ratio is 1:2:4

Material is equal to material ratio/ratio sum x dry volume

Cement is equal to 1/1 + 2 + 4 x wet volume x 1.54

Cement is equal to 1/7 x 12 x 0.5 x 20 x 1.54

Cement is equal to 1/7 x 184.8

Cement is equal to 26.4 ft3

Cement [in bags] is equal to 26.4/1.25 = 21.12 bags

1.25 ft3 is volume of one cement bag

Sand is equal to 2 x 26.4 = 52.8 ft3

In sacra: 52.8 ft3 /100 is equal to 0.528 sacra

[1 sacra is equal to 100 ft3]

Crushed stone [bajri] is equal to 4 x 26.4 = 105.6 ft3

In sacra: 105.6 ft3 /100 is equal to 1.056 sacra

Find crushed stone simply in PCC work of volume equal to 500 ft3. Concrete ratio is 1:3:6

Crushed stone is equal to 6/10 x wet volume x 1.54

Crushed stone = 6/10 x 500 x 1.54

Crushed stone = 6/10 x 770 = 462 ft3

[In sacra] = 462/100 = 4.62 sacra
