How to Calculate Estimate using Center Line Method

We have a plan of three rooms. Center to center length and breadth are required and utilized when calculating estimate of a room.

In the plan, length = 5 m and breadth = 4.5 m

Also, three rooms are of same dimension.

Thickness of wall = 0.3 m

In the section, there are three steps, PCC, DPC

PCC thickness = 0.20 m

Height of three steps = 0.30 m

PCC breadth = 1.05 m

First step breadth = 0.75 m

Second step breadth = 0.60 m

Third step breadth = 0.45 m

Wall breadth =0.30 m

Center to center length of long wall = 15.9 m

Length of short wall = 4.80 m

Long wall = 2 x 15.9 = 31.9 m

Short wall = 4 x 4.80 = 19.20 m

Overall length = 31.9 m + 19.20 m = 51.1 m

Height of DPC = 0.0381 m
