How to calculate quantity of bricks for specified room

The construction video lesson is going to provide valuable advice on calculating quantity of bricks for a given room.

To begin, dimensions mustbe determined initially.

At this point, interior breadth and length are assumed as 3 meters. Exterior breadth and length are assumed as 3.4 meters.

Wall breadth is assumed as .2 meters and depth is assumed as 3 meters.

Inside the room, there’re two windows and one door along with lintels.

Initially, the overall room area has to be calculated and the areas of windows, door, and lintels have to be deducted. After that, the volumes have to be calculated.

The measurements of the door, windows as well as lintels are specified below:

  • Brick Dimension = 0.2 m x 0.1 m x 0.1 m
  • Door Dimension = 1.2 m x 2 m
  • Door Lintel Dimension = 1.4 m x 0.1 m
  • Window Dimension = 1.2 m x 1.5 m
  • Window Lintel Dimension = 1.4 m x 0.1 m
  • Wall breadth = 0.2 m

The subsequent formulas will be utilized to compute the number of bricks:-

  • Brickwork Area minus Deduction Area
  • Brickwork Volume = overall brickwork area x wall breadth
  • Single brick volume = Length x Breadth x Depth

To know the whole procedure, watch the subsequent video.
