Length calculation of Spiral Bar or Helix Bar

Furthermore, the spiral bar is even known as transverse reinforcement. Also, It’s generally utilized in reinforcing circular column. Moreover, in beam, that sort of transverse reinforcement is called stirrups.

With regard to rectangular column, it is known as ties while in circular column, it’s known as spiral bar or spiral reinforcement. Also, the objective of that sort of reinforcement is to keep the main bars in specific position.

L = n√(C^2+P^2 )

L = n√(C^2+P^2 ) = 5√(〖9.4〗^2+2^2 )= 5√92.36 = 48 feet

Therefore, the length of the spiral bar is forty-eightfeet.
